Laboratory of Satellite and Geodynamic Research
Development of geophysical monitoring methods and tools for investigating dynamic processes in the lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere system during earthquake preparation and occurrence; addressing the challenge of extracting weak seismogenic signals against background disturbances caused by solar flares and geomagnetic storms.
Prospective directions:
Study of the mechanisms of seismogenic disturbance transmission in the lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere–magnetosphere system and their analysis during geo-effective solar events.
Development of geophysical monitoring methods and instruments necessary for investigating dynamic processes in the lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere–magnetosphere system during earthquake preparation and occurrence.
Theoretical description of disturbances in electric and magnetic fields, as well as current systems in the conducting Earth associated with the propagation of purely surface electromagnetic disturbances. Investigation of cosmic rays in the energy range of 1–1000 PeV to determine their elemental composition and the astrophysical nature of their acceleration sources.
